Public data

APRS is open amateur radio communication. Everything a station transmits on the air or to APRS-IS (position, comment, status, messages) is public and shown on this site to every visitor.

Retention and deletion

Data is kept for the periods listed in the technical details and expires automatically; it is not deleted on individual request.

Account and personal data

Registration requires a login, an email address and a password. The email address is only used to confirm it and to reset the password, and is never shared; the password is stored as a one-way hash. You can delete the account on the My account page together with its addresses and settings.

Using the API and the data

• Credit aprs.ru as the data source.
• Use your own API key, send a User-Agent header with your application name and version, cache responses.
• Bulk downloading of the database and parsing HTML pages are not allowed; access is limited when the limits are exceeded.

Liability

The service is provided “as is”. Do not rely on it as the only source of information where people's safety depends on a station's position.
